Yes I use mine on my access cab and yes beer tastes good.

In all honesty, it cuts down on cabin turbulence with all windows open, and it's a killer way to get a CB wire outside to my mag mount.

I never use mine and have only open it to clean the glass. Although a power slider would be nice. :D

Getting the responses that I figured. Like I said, I used the rear window in my 2004 access ALL the time. It's great for ventilation and creates an awesome flow through the cab without the noise.

I just wish I could reach it on my 09 double cab.

Wait...I did use it once - I bought a 16' metal strip from Lowes and ran it from the dash and out the rear window. Worked great for the purpose!

Access cab, and I use it anytime it's not precipitating.

I went out of my way to make sure I was able to keep it with the rollcage. Replaced the side panels with lexan, but the slider is still glass and is completely functional.

I've had a slider in my last two Rangers and used them all the time. I wish my DC had a electric slider so it was easier to use. Since owning the truck for two weeks now, I've used it once.

I'd rather have the whole window go down like the Tundra does

I would love to have a power rear window like the Tundra, complete with defoster. I will settle with a power slider. I do use it because it really lets the air through, and cuts down the noise when other windows are open. I can't reach it, and always forget to open it before I start driving. So, I have reclined the seat and strained to get it open during red lights. I'm very tempted to get the power slider from CR Lawrence, but they are very expensive. $450 shipped, plus install. You can get it here.

Or maybe I'll try rigging something up myself.

I put a massive "pull" fan in the opening and roll down the driver's window so the wind blows through the cab and makes it feel like I'm pushing really fast.

    You have a roll-cage...

The whole window from side to side goes down? I think that would look weird. Would love to see a picture of one like that.

I wouldn't like people staring right in at me from behind. Not hiding anything but that would just be weird. Somehow it's worse, in my mind, than being in a convertible.

I answered "no" but i guess i lied - i have used my window in my DC to haul long things such as trim, pipes, etc. i just usually hang onto the other end. the one time i was doing that though it was like a vacuum sucking in dirt from my truck bed. i don't think I will use it again! i cleaned sawdust from inside my truck for days!

I can reach the rear slider in my DC just fine without leaning the seat back or any other tricks. Are you guys midgets or do you all have arms like a T Rex? :)

I dont use it because everytime i think of using it im already on the road. I do get the passengers in the rear to open it if they have opened the other rear windows though, it stops that annoying shuddering.

Sorry but I tried that tonight. I'm 6'2" and have long arms. I did not adjust my seat and there was no way I was reaching it. You either have freakishly long arms or keep your seat back "gangsta' style

not to many, love it the way it is
I do use it. The first time that I did use it was the day after picking up bushes to plant in the yard and I start getting pelted in the head with bark and stuff flying around in the bed and getting sucked into the cab, lesson learned. it is a good stretch to reach the window in my access cab, a few more inches further and it would not happen while driving.
