    I agree 100%

If I were able to reach the sliding glass, I'd use it, but I can't reach it. The only time I open it is when we're hanging out on the tailgate to let the music out.

My arms aren't the only things I have that's freakishly long, yucka yucka.
    :D
I'm about 6'3", I ride with the seat almost all the way back, but in an upright, uncool white guy position.

Me too. I can't reach the one in my DC, and I'm 6'4" with long arms. An electric one, as someone else mentioned would be cool too. If I had that, I would use it more. I had a 2004 Dodge Dakota with a solid rear window. I seem to remember having a little better visibility out of it too, but all around, the taco is a much better-built truck i think.

I can only imagine what you think about people with power side windows and automatic transmissions.
Hey wait, don't you have those on your truck?:D

Regular Cab, and I use mine everyday, only problem is how easy it is to break into, locked my keys in truck one night all drunk at a country festival, so I took a screw driver and slid it in around the latch area on the back sliding window, gave it one stiff jerk and the window pops open, my long ass arms reached the door lock no problem, and that catch for the latch on the solid windshield is only glued on!

I use mine every now and then. I do wish it were powered. I think that's one thing that makes me wonder what Toyota was thinking. Everything else is power, why not the rear window!

X2! The entire rear window rolling down would be awesome...I wonder if anybody has attempted putting that in yet.

Sure. Power windows are a minor conveniences I don't give a crap about.

As for the A/T which, btw, gets better fuel mileage than the manual, ever had back surgery?

See, now you don't have to imagine.

I have a double cab and I'm not sure when I'll ever use the sliding rear window. I suppose if I had a dog I could open it for him/her.

    I have a double cab.

I only use it if I need to haul something extra long.

Or if I have friends in the bed of the truck and I want to be able to hear them.

I open it on nice days. It would be alot cooler if it had the tundra power rear window.

Access Cab, yes, its reachable, I love it! The double Cab should have an eletric slider as an option. But since Toyota sells a shit-load of Tacoma's, even these non-economy freindly days, why would they add features?

Obviously never. Sorry... I didn't realize we were limiting this discussion to 2nd gen double-cabs.
