rear sliding window fix? broke it again

thought i fixed the stupid locking panel piece but yet again it has come off anyone know of a fix for this? i am now missing the top screw, only the bottom stayed on the lock panel. not into someone breaking in due to POS factory decisions of how to go about locking a rear sliding window.

 

And place a rod in the sliding window channel.

 

I've never even opened mine...

 

got any recs on what glue to use? I see most of those two bottled ones around, but ... hmmmmm

I read about that on here somewhere. My problem is, I don't use my a/c (the free on (sp) makes me VERY sleepy), and I am at most (since it's still summer) opening and closing the window each time I'm in the truck (at night it's open/close but for the most during the day I have to have it open to let out the heat). Is there something that won't seem "tedious" (sp) each time I'm in the truck?

The ac just blows cold air...no freon is expelled through the vents. If you had that happening, youve got issues with the system and it would cease to cool the air...

 

Two of the most effective glues I've come across are PL Premium construction adhesive, and ShoeGoo (and it's various differently-labeled tubes......which are all actually the same stuff). The PL Premium is about the best of the best, but it dries tan. The ShoeGoo has proven itself to hold glass together when dropped onto a driveway from 20 feet, and it's insanely flexible, and excellent at taking heat cycling -- I use it to mount a couple of items to my windshield, and I can't get them off now (I've tried).
You may want to visit BenWa's powered rear slider thread to see what glue he uses there, since I forget the name off-hand. Supposed to be awesome stuff.
Super glues (and its variants) are intended almost exclusively for plastic-to-plastic bonding, since C-A dissolves plastic (like welding metal) -- it doesn't do much for anything else non-porous. Epoxy works for a short time, and on stuff that doesn't see regular heat cycling or any movement/vibration. JB Weld is great stuff, but is generally only used for metal applications.
