Rear sliding window

Anyone know if you can make a non power back sliding window, powered?

 

Someone posted up the opposite just the other day,,,, you two should talk.

mot sure why in the hell anyone would want to move to fixed glass, but whatever.

 

Anything is possible if you have the time and money to accomplish it.

 

I think you need power and a motor?

 

Does anyone elses rear sliding window squeak when open? I heard it in my 2020 and also in my 2022.

 

Somebody on here used to sell a DIY kit. I want a power slider and I'm always hoping he'll start selling the kit again.

 

Plus a wiring harness, a switch, and some hardware. All i know after having a fixed back slider in my tundra for 19 years, i made dam sure i got the powered sliding back window when they built the truck.

 

No squeaks from mine, its open and closes pretty slick...fairly quick to.

 

A little silicone spray does wonders

 

To be fair though, it *did* look kind of Rube Goldberg. I looked into it to add to my 2014 and decided to pass.

No disrespect intended to that member though - props to him for trying to create a desirable product!

OP I'd hit a junkyard or an online parts salvor for what you need.

I keep putting off the lube. It’s so annoying. Make sure to use one that doesn’t break down the seals.

 

I have all the parts, I just converted from power slider to solid rear glass. Get ahold of me in PM if you’re interested, again I have everything.
