What's up TW! About to tackle the rear suspension I have some King tundra conversion shocks and Deaver stage one leaf springs on the way. I wanted to ask if you need to run aftermarket bump stops, u bolt flip kit? I know ill need longer U bolts but are the flip kit and or after-market bump stops needed? And if you have any feedback on your set up I'm open to hearing them.

NOTE: not running any aftermarket bumper or sliders, on the stock weight of the truck.

Aftermarket bumps are always nice to have. I would at least get that. A flip kit is not required people do it for clearance reasons. Either are not too expensive. A few companies make flip kit and bump stop kits.

Yes, you will need to run taller bumps. Otherwise, you'll bottom out those Tundy shocks. @AccuTune Offroad can set you up.

Edit: I have the exact same combo and run the Durobumps 4.25" bumps.

how do you like the durobumps? Would you buy them again? I just did some research and depending on the style of bump stops they can get pricey.

I like them. Much softer than OEM. I'd say the only thing better, would be hydro bumps. But those are on another level of expensive and come with their own complications.

I have the archive garage u bolt flip kit paired with king hydro bump stops. I have the yellow archive garage yellow speed bumps but haven’t used them. This is all paired with the hammer hangers and deaver stage 1s.

Stock weight the truck is a bit jarring in the rear, but my spare + rack made the rear more settled. The addition of the tent made it even better, but with the 200 lbs the springs lay flat already. Limited uptravel as a result but at least it’s smooth.

ubolt flip kit is solid for ground clearance, just needed to cut the tops of the bolts for more clearance. I’ve only heard good things about the yellow bumps or sumo bumps. Hydros are nice as well as you can adjust their compression, but overkill when sumos exist.

@Bertw192 cool thanks for the info excited to get my truck dialed in already broke the bank with kings and deavers. I have Dobinson non resi on my truck right now. After I did a fox 2.5 resi kit on a customer's car and drove it my truck does not feel the same haha. Anyways I'll post pics to the King thread once its done, my fronts wont be ready for another 4 weeks.

Just went with the @AccuTune Offroad new foam bump and U-bolt flip kit along with their N98 Deaver kit. I can vouch for both!

Did you go through us for the rear shocks? We have the fronts in stock also (with or without adjusters), ships within a week and includes custom tuning. We can also set you up with the correct bump stop spacer for the rear. That spacing will depend on leaf spring thickness.

yes I ordered the rear tundra shocks from you guys , the front I have are on there way from king. I had those on order from them for a while, when I mentioned the tundra shock conversion to them they had no clue what I was referring to so I said "f*** it imma call AccuTune". My main concern was if I need to do after market bumps immediately even if i'm not off-roading right after I do my lift.

Right on. We did the homework and put together the converted Tundra shocks. More to it than just bolting in the shock. Rear bump stop height should be changed along with those rear shocks since they have a longer compressed length than stock. Really up to you on when that gets done. If you don't plan to off-road much in the meantime its probably fine.
