I recently had my frame replaced on my 2007 Access Cab. At the same time I had them replace the front shocks/coil springs and rear shocks from a 3rd gen. Also added the 1/4" spacer on front drivers side for the taco lean. The leafs were replaced in 2016 through recall with 4 leaf pack.

The truck rides nice, but the leafs are already flat with no load. I don't haul heavy loads much, but if I need to, I'm sure it will be riding on the bump stops.

It also has no rake because of the front being lifted about 1.5" so I want to raise the rear about the same without sacrificing the ride.

So my question is, what is the best way to get a small lift in the rear without sacrificing the ride or causing other problems. Not looking to replace the leafs at this point, but if I find out they can't support a heavier load, then I might have to.

    Thanks, Jim

Throw a block in there for the amount you need to raise it. Very simple and affordable.

Do a aal will raise the rear 1.5 without overload with it 2in. I have the icon aal rides firmer but better than stock.

Concerned about Axle Wrap when using a block. I don't off road or have a heavy foot but still hear stories of those things busting loose even under normal driving.

I'll look into the AAL option. Thanks!

Ya sure thing I don’t get axle wrap or anything like that. Granted it’s nothing like Dakar’s or similar but it works well.

I have a 36" Pro Comp AAL with the TSB leaves and the truck rides better now! The longer the AAL, the better it is suppose to ride. I left the overload leaf in so I got 2" lift and it supports loads just fine now.

    That's just under a 500lb load:

I will definitely check into that setup. I believe it would help with the load and also get the rear back above the front. Don't care for the level look as much and with a load like that, it would just sag way too much . Just have to find them now.
    Thanks guys!

You might consider some air bags,l just ordered some Firestone Ride-Rite air bags and compressor for my truck. They’re supposed to level out a 5k pound load.

Single 1.5" or 2" AAL to bring the ass end back up, and bags for when you haul heavy loads.

You mentioned your TSB leafs are already flat, so adding an AAL is essentially bandaging the problem. I think you're going to end up spending more money in the long-run... I say hold out, save money, and buy a leaf pack. Just my $0.02

Yep they are pretty much flattened out and I didn't haul any heavy loads either.

Airbags? I had them removed when they did the frame because I never found a sweet spot for the air pressure setting. I tried everything from 5psi to 20 at 1lb increments and the rear end always seemed too harsh or ended up hitting the bump stops inside the airbags. The ride now hardly ever hits the bump stops and rides much better. New shocks may have helped that.
