This is what I just installed on mine. It’s not a custom built one and it’s not affiliated with the bumper. Yes, the bumper looks horrible...it’s about to get cleaned up and painted. This swing-out is a Wilco-Offroad product. Is this somewhat along the lines of what you’re looking for?

That is brilliant! I like that gate design. I still keep my full-sized spare in the original location in under the bed, so I won't need my swingouts to be so big and beefy to carry the spare, just jerry cans and an integrated step to get into the camper. (Yes, a couple full jerry cans will weight as much as the spare, but will tuck in closer with less flopping around)

Yeah, that’s the older Wilco design (they no longer make those).

    I made a home version

Fuergrissa, well done man. Looks great.

I like mine, but I don’t know that I’m going to utilize the post for the spare either. I thought about torching it off and putting some hangers for ammo cans, hi-lift, etc.

If anyone on the east coast is looking for one, I could be talked into selling mine...

CBI Outback 1.0 Bumper, Swing Arm
I have a CBI Outback 1.0 bumper with a single swing arm, and I love it. They had one come available as a scratch and dent sale item while I had by bed off repairing the frame (didn't look that scratched, maybe assemble as a display piece or something). I love the design with the exception that the pin for locking it open is attached to that cap that holds the swing arm on its pivot and that is only kept (or not kept) from rotating by a tiny set screw. Here are some photos.

I've been very interested in seeing a 1st gen with a high clearance dual swing out bumper. I don't think I've seen that before. It was unfortunate when Pelfrey went under because it seemed like what they were working on was gonna be the answer to all my wants...

Where it stands now. Didn't have a latch solution for the other side, so will have to sand, weld and repaint when that time comes.

Saw a first gen parked on the side of the road that had a swing out and thought I'd pull over and take pics on my way back but it was gone later... Want to see as many renditions as possible, kind of like a measure twice cut once thing.
