    No. Never curb checked anything.
I’m used to driving full size trucks so I’ve not had an issue with taking turns too tight.

I appreciate everyones help and responses.
I’m more comfortable with saying it could have been both. A wonked up wheel and this issue happened around the same time confusing how it feels.

This that and the other thing.
hahahah yeah it could have been both, considering the techs did find two wheels that were slightly out of balance. im pretty confident that a driveshaft rebuild will give you a nice smooth drive once again

Since there is play in the u-joint replace it, clunking is a great sign of a worn u-joint. Do this first as it needs to be done anyway. Look at replacing the other u-joint as well. At a minimum, grease all the others.

Next, see what the truck does. No vibes, easy day. If there are still vibes, repost and take it from there.

When you checked u joints did you have it in neutral? just got my rear most u joint done for free under warranty a few weeks ago! The u joint had been bad for about the last 35k and shook the truck like crazy, i had just eventually forgot about it and got used to it lol

U-joint. The shop already told him they thought it was a joint problem. They did OP a favor by removing it anyway just to show him

One of the reasons to put location in your profile. Bad guys already can figure it out w/o you saying.

    It was the U-joint.

I has 2 wheels that had a total of 6oz of weight added through these 4 visits. I think that was confusing everything and I was just getting frustrated.

I'm not sure how he checked it (shop did it, he just showed me).

This shaking I couldn't get used to. My title was serious, if I couldn't get someone to Dx this I was fed up LOL

It was driving me insane. Driving away today with no vibes felt really good.

Neutral or not, simply twisting the drive-shaft back and forth isnt really a thorough way to check the joint. Yea if they're really trashed youll see the movement but by that time the joint is dangerously worn and has been for a while.

To find the less obvious joint failures you have to drop the driveshaft down and flex the joint around. Those are the ones that wont have a lot of slop but theyll exhibit weird vibes as you found out.

Im glad you got it figured out! You were gonna sell your truck over a u-joint problem:anonymous:

You should bring that shop some lunch

"Any chance you got someone that would swap wheels with you for a couple hours?"

"One of the reasons to put location in your profile."

People have to know where someone is located to help. I have an extra set of wheels and tires in the garage someone could HAVE if they're close and wondering about vibes, they were given to me for the same reason.

Considering I asked that shop to check the drive line and suspension the last 4 times I went in there and they told me it was fine... they owe me lunch LOL

I'm glad it got resolved though. Especially before a much more dangerous situation occurred.

As for selling it. Something is always up with this truck. Always. This weekend I'm chasing down an electrical problem :bananadead:
