    Hi,
Has anyone figured out how to activate the rear view when not in reverse on the 2016?

If it's like other manufacturers, the radio looks for a reverse signal on the CAN data line. Can't just "turn it on"

You can probably just install a relay and switch. One side of the relay keeps it stock (power coming from reverse) and the other side supplies a constant 12v power to activate camera anytime. However, I have read that Entune may auto shut off the camera after 5-10 minutes, so it's not actually "full-time"

A DPDT switch would also work and essentially do the same thing; except with a DPDT switch, there is an option for no camera.

I plan on doing the relay version soon after I get my truck. Plus add a front canera using a DPDT switch.

Send power to pin #2 on the large white connector, the wire colour is grey.

-You can confirm this internet advice by measuring voltage to that wire when in reverse.

This will send the reverse signal to the stereo.

I may try this for trailing, it's risky as its much safer to ground a circuit as it is to power a circuit.

Used the reverse trick today while doing 80 down the interstate. Works as advertised...

It's something not a lot of folks are comfortable with haha. Putting your brand new vehicle in reverse while moving forward sends off a lot of warning signals! Just don't try to crawl and do it...

I'd be interested in tying it into a switch on the dash for on-demand rear camera.

I tried throwing it in reverse going 65 MPH on the highway yesterday.
It did not work. I do not advise trying this. Luckily no one was seriously hurt.
Who is the Jack-A$$ who recommended trying this?.

I find it easier to put it into reverse while spinning a 180. That way, I can use the camera to see what's ahead of me and then just look directly at what's behind me.

    Thanks All,
When I get up enough nerve (beer), I'll try the power to the grey wire.
