5235E0EF-22A3-47B2-9A4D-903E5703FDB7.jpg I am going to install a mirror display that has a dash cam built in on my 2021 Tacoma. I don’t really want to strap it over the original mirror due to weight and the possibility of the mirror falling off or something.

they make mounts for these mirrors but it doesn’t have a place to plug in the factory connector that is plugged into the back of the OEM mirror. Is it ok to just leave that connector unplugged or will it cause issues?

anyone set up something like this? I searched the forums and google but couldn’t find any mention of the connector on the back of the mirror.

That connector is only to power the auto-dimming OEM mirror, shouldn't affect anything else.
