Rear View Mirror Keeps Falling Off

    Snugtop cab high canopy.
    Trucks with outside mirrors don't need the inside mirror. Can't see much with it anyway if you have a canopy.

    Well I will start with purchasing a new button and another pack of rear view mirror glue and go from there.

    For me it's a non issue, for backing up I have a camera that works fine for me.

    The wife always complains when I have a few too many beers and she ends up driving without a rear view mirror. I need to get the mirror back on so it doesnt affect my beer drinking!

    I have always glued the button directly to glass. If the black area you are talking about is vinyl then I do not think it will stick. If it is a black porcelain area similar to the black area on some windshields interior outer perifieral for sun shading then it should stick.

    I just went out and looked at my 2014. It has the porcelain area where the mirror gets glued to. If yours is soft maybe there is old glue that still needs to be removed. Be careful not to scratch it. Use a flat razor blade and carefully slice off the old glue and residue. Another point in following the directions on the kit would be to only prime the glass. Do not put primer on button and glass. Good luck.
