So basically everyone with a 3rd gen and a subwoofer knows this. The rear view mirror vibrates heavily to the point where it slides out of the bracket on the windshield. At first it didn't bother me but now every 10 seconds it comes out of place and is starting to get on my nerves. Does anyone have a fix to this? I don't want to super glue the damn thing in case I need to remove it. Help pls :)

Do you have any foil backed damper lying around? You can peel the butyl off that and mash it into the crevices. It won't ever cure. If you can't round any up, maybe a local shop will part with a small piece of scrap?

On a side note - how do you like the Stealth box? I'm seriously considering one. How much power are you pushing to it?

I’ve got the JL stealth box in my second gen. I went with the JL XDv2 1000 watt amp to push it as well as the updated speakers. It’s honestly been one of the greatest mods I’ve installed. The only downside (at least if you have children) is that the easy-fastening clips for car seats have to be cut out. I also listen to music a lot louder than most which has caused some interior rattles, but it’s been worth it.

Hushmat? Would this cure the vibrations on the front windshield? Or shove a piece of it in the bracket that my rear view mirror goes into?

On another note, did anyone ever remove their rear panels inside an access cab. It rattles like crazy. I want to remove it but I wonder if the road noise would be much louder inside the cab. I mean i usually drive with my windows down anyway, but just want to get other peoples opinions....

    Help? lol

Nvm, that was a waist of time. I took it out & it exposed these air vents. I drove around and it literally felt like I had a window down. Dumb decision...

You must have that thing cranked, I've had the rear window pulsate and vibrate, but never heard of rear view mirror dislodging. Super Glue or a silicone sealer might be your only recourse.
