I got my hands on a free mirror with the home link buttons. Part number is ZTVHL3 from Nissan. After installing it the compass and green dimming light doesn't turn off. I know it's the constant 12V doing this and I think I could just disconnect the constant 12V which I would prefer because I don't want the home link working when the truck is off for obvious reasons. What function does the 12V do for a Toyota factory mirror? Any input would be appreciated
