situation: i have my abs light and parking brake light on. took it to toyota and they said my driver side REAR wheel bearing is leaking grease on my wheel speed sensor

solution: i tried to swap it out but from what i saw when i took it off it was completely fine but i couldnt see what the fuck they were talking about and also i cant find the wheel speed sensor? unless it is located on the back of the drum where that electrical plus is?

Ultimately i dont know what is wrong but i have confirmed that the code the truck is throwing is wheel speed sensor malfuntion/bad and wheel speed sensor dirty. so i would like to know if someone else has had this problem and what did they do. or does someone else have any idea what is actually wrong. My next step is to take it to toyota and just have them put on a new wheel speed sensor :(

Yes, the electrical connector on the back is your wheel speed sensor. Look around the sensor, and drum of the brakes. Do you see any fluid? Remove the sensor. Is there fluid there? I have yet to see a axle seal cause a wheel speed sensor to fail, but stranger things do happen. Remove the sensor and look for a large accumulation of fine metal (Which is normal over time). Clean it off, reinstall, and drive the truck. Does the light go off, then come back on? If it returns you most likely have a bad sensor.
