I own a 2009 Tacoma, just purchased the truck on the 5th of July. About a week later I noticed the rear window did not latch and could freely slide side to side. It appears the plastic bar that stops the window and provides a point to latch onto is completely missing!

Its a single sliding center window and I have the latch, just no point to clip onto.

Does anyone know either how to get a hold of that part or maybe how I could fix this?

    Thanks

Search eBay and you'll probably find a new one. Problem is it won't be OME and you'll also have to replace the part you do have. I dealt with this about a month ago and toyota told me they don't stock the part. Just a whole new window.

    Thanks!

Will just about any latch do? Any recommendations?

Not really. They're all about the same. The only advice I can give is use the rear view mirror glue. Most eBay sellers will provide it. I thought I'd try something else (what I thought would be better) on my latch and a day in the NM sun sent me back to the drawing board.
