rear window modification

Hey all! Just got a 2104 taco and joined the forum. I'm trying to gear my truck up for some surf trips down to baja, but need some help finding the right accessories and after market mods. You all probably know a lot more about this than i do so I figured you could make some recommendations: Here's what i'm looking for in order of priority:
1. rear window modification- either roll down or expand opening so i can fit surf boards through.
2. best camper shell that has side windows that swing open (i hate trying to get stuff that in the back that i can't reach)
3. Best side steps?
4. Do i really need a skid plate?
5. Best all weather floor mats?

snugtop is a great shell...will need to upgrade it when first ordered for the side window opening. check out the snug top rebel. Also, weathertec floor mats are easily the best.

On your own there. I haven't seen any way of modifying the rear window to make it have a bigger opening. That would have to be a custom mod that will cost $$$.

2. best camper shell that has side windows that swing open (i hate trying to get stuff that in the back that i can't reach)

Probably one of the shells with the windoors will suit you on this aspect.

3. Best side steps?

If you don't need any side protection for offroading then the Nfab step bars should be fine.

4. Do i really need a skid plate?

Again depends on if you will be offroading with the truck where you will need the protection.

5. Best all weather floor mats?

A lot of people on here like the weathertech's. Which you can get at Cabela's I believe as their brand and are the same thing and cheaper. They also come with the weathertech stickers.
