I've hardly used my truck in the past 4 months due to having a broken leg. But using it this morning I discovered that the driver-side section of the rear glass is shattered. I didn't notice until stopping for gas on my way back home, after getting off of the interstate. It appears that it was broken from the outside, as there was one small bit of broken glass inside on the folded-down rear seat. The rest of the glass is shattered but has not fallen out (yet). I think something must have hit it on the highway.

My question is.... what do they replace? The entire rear window assembly or just the broken section?

Should just be the broken section. The back sliding glass can be removed to get to the broken section.

Sorry that happened. May have just had a small scratch that finally, through expansion and contraction, caused it to shatter. I've seen it happen before. It usually looks like someone threw a rock through the window, but sometimes that's not the case.

Exactly. But it's always good to be 'informed" beforehand.... to know what Is normally replaced in this circumstance.
