The rubber strip around the rear glass has aged and looks awful. Has anyone replaced the rubber strip? If so, how did you do it, and how difficult was the job?

As someone that removed the rear window, I can tell you that the rubber is part of the window. You would have to replace the whole window to replace the rubber (since the window will likely break when removed).

Thank you, that’s what I was thinking. I guess you probably had to order the window through Toyota rather than after market?

You could always get aftermarket flat with no slider

Sand it down with a light grit.

Solid rear glass installed is about $200 at most aftermarket glass shops

No, I don’t have a rear window. I did the rear window delete mod. Special tool needed: hammer.

I use WD-40 and #0000 steel whool to scrub it down but not aggressively. Wash and done for another couple months. Gets that moldy looking shart off.....
