I just Bought my first Tacoma. While driving at low speeds and as I accelerate there is a squeak that comes from the rear of the truck. Any suggestions on where to start for checking things would be greatly appreciated

Leaf springs. Check to see if you have the TSB 3+1 pack installed of you don't then you know the problem. Even if you do they have been known to squeak too there are multiple forum posts on how to resolve the issue

if its U-joints you could try to grease them but more than likely if they are squeaking they are already worn and need replacing

Thanks I appreciate the info. I already planned to replace the ujoints and bearing. Has anyone changed the bushing on the leaf springs I was looking at putting polyurethane in to see if that would help

I would just pull the bolts and cover them with anti seize. It's a good idea even if that's not what's squeaking.

I put the headstrong poly bushings in with my Dakars. Seems like good quality.
