I pulled this from the headliner of my 09 Tacoma single cab. Is this the connection for the rearview camera to the mirror? The truck is equipped with the camera in the tailgate, and wiring harness, but the truck just has a regular mirror. I have purchased a used mirror for using with the backup camera, but the connector is different then the one in the picture. Any help appreciated

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is, depending on how your truck is equipped, that's the connection for power, temp sensor, and camera. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of mirror options that don't seem constrained by model numbers. When I upgraded my mirror (from one with Auto-Dimming, 3.3" Camera Display, Temp, & Compass to one with Auto-Dimming, 3.3" Camera Display, Temp, Compass & HomeLink), I found several with the right model number from other vehicles, none of which appeared to have the right connector.

In the end, I bought my "new" mirror from Bob's Automotive Mirrors & More LLC (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...for-the-2009-15-tacomas-other-toyotas.367150/ and https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...for-the-2009-15-tacomas-other-toyotas.328083/), who made sure I got one that's compatible with my truck. Throughout the process, Bob was very helpful and forthcoming with info and answers to my questions.

Norton is right, contact Bob. With my truck, the plug only contained power connections. The temp sender wiring had to be routed across the headliner, down through the A pillar and to the front of the truck. Bob's kit had plenty of wire available and the installation was straightforward. I did it in less than an hour, the hardest part was getting the plastic wire channel to slip up in under the headliner to look right.

For what it's worth, I already have a hole in the firewall where my gauge connections pass through, so a route to the front of the truck was taken care of.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into Bobs automotive and mirror. I'm not really concerned about the temp and all the other options, I'm just wanting the backup camera to work.
