    Greetings,

I purchased a used 2017 Toyota Tacoma, this is a base model unit (Labeled as SR) as far as I can tell. I have purchased a few items for this vehicle but one thing I really miss is the rear view mirror that has the auto-dim, compass and garage door opener features located on it.
I would like to purchase the Toyota Tacoma Gentex GNTX Home link Compass Rear View Mirror
for the unit from ebay or Toyota's OEM unit, but before buying this I need to know if the power from the over head compartment and lights are available. By default does Toyota place the plug in the over head hidden in case of upgrade, further do the codes for the garage door (Homelink) live in side the mirror itself?

Does the kit purchased come with the full kit ie: Covers for the power coming from the head liner to the mirror?

    Your Help is greatly appreciated!

    Kind Regards,
    Fred...

    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

Wish I could help, but I have no experience with changing mirrors. Could you pull down the console and see if the wires are there?

Welcome to TW! Should be fairly easy to look back there and see if it's pre-wired.

Good Morning, and thank you for your responses. I spoke to Bob from Bob's Automotive and he has gotten me straightened out. He has some great products and instructions available and I greatly appreciate his help.
