Rearview Mirror placement

I did a quick search and didn't find much. How many people can't stand their rear view mirror placement? It seems like it sits just a little low and blocks my view. Is there a way to move it up slightly?

 

You are aware it has a double pivot right?
I had to swing the arm up and then brought the actual mirror at an angle that worked for me.

 

I sure didn't. I may delete this thread tomorrow with this information.

The 2nd pivot point helps move it up a little higher.

 

I guess this is what happens when you read that thing called a MANUAL! Good looking out! I have only had the truck for a month and since day one it has bother the crap out of me.

 

Maybe you can get that little bother fixed and enjoy the truck to its fullest now.

The pivot was not enough for me; and I’m 5’6”. I got the bird dawg riser, and it’s been great. I even mounted a sunglass holder behind the mirror, it’s sits flush and out of sight.

 

One of the first things I did, it actually raises it up pretty high and with the box right behind it any higher would be pointless because well… that box

 

Holy double pivot. That made quite a difference. I used to have to lean foward to see past it. I could hug you right now!

 

Double pivot! I just ran out to the garage... Mind blown. I should of read the manual. Thankful for this thread!

 

how do you adjust it....does it move into a "click" position or just move up

No click, just a second pivot point.

 

Holy SHIT!

2+ years of this being one of my biggest annoyances is now fixed because I was in the right place at the right time and saw this.

Got out of bed to go check and sure enough, mine was set to one of the lowest spots. I’m 6’1”.

 

We learn something new every day in TW.

 

Can't use that riser on '18+ models unfortunately due to the TSS camera location.

 

You know, I'd not really thought about it until I read this thread. Have to admit that raising the mirror just a little is convenient.

 

I have a 19 with all of the TSS deal. I was still able to move mine up quote a bit.
