Reasonable counter offer for this Barcelona Red?

There is a $750 customer care rebate with the 19's. Is that from Toyota? And can the dealer include that in the price off of it?

 

You can add that in but need to finance through Toyota to qualify. Also negotiate price then stack the incentives on top of the sale price, the dealer gets that money back from Toyota so they are not out anything.

I’m lucky. There’s 15-20 Toyota dealers I can go to. I went from 1 to the next and got written offers. Some got smart and said if we beat that price how do we know you won’t take it somewhere else to get a better deal? Lol. I said why would I do that if you can beat the offer? Lol..

I also used dealers a little farther out and sent them an offer (internet sales) I received from another dealer. They instantly call and want you to come in. I said I want a offer sheet so I don’t drive 100 miles for nothing.
I also knew what I wanted for trade. I had financial loans ready to go.
It was a month of low balling dealers and I got what I wanted. They assumed they’d make it up in the 150,000 mile warranty they sell... I declined

 

FYI.. November and February are slow sales months mid February is best. Vehicles on the lot have been there a while and most people blew their tax return by then. Mid February target! Yes new models are out 8 months later. I put on 30k in miles . Buying cars late in the car model year make the miles look less per year . ie...buying a ‘17 model in October of 2016 or buying a ‘17 in March of 2017 (5 months of driving)

4WD on the Tacoma is mainly to get you out of bad situations, and when the roads are icy/snowy. You cant leave it on all the time. Not a substitute for snow tires but that makes sense.

 

OEM skid? painted?

 

Any Mod's planned, or are you just gonna cruise the Burgh in Stock form?

 

I'll start looking at stuff. I just didn't want to add a bunch of options at the dealer.

 

It’s a 2nd gen TRD skid plate, it fits but I need to get slightly longer spacers because it’s digging into the lower part of the bumper. I have an SSO bumper on order though so that may take care of the issue.

 

Remember if you do finance, consider the rate. Even if the price is a little higher, if you can walk away at 0% interest or 0.9% you’ll make out in the long run. When I bought, you couldn’t get credit for better than 2.9% with a 750 credit score
