Seems a high price for a trd or thats starting out with a msrp of $37.5k, and change for the op, and a final cost nearly $10k more. When I ordered my sr5, I was able to keep the final price to just about 4k over the msrp that included a couple tech packages. Its hard to fathom how much the price has risen on these taco's over 3 years, yet people keep buying them in record numbers, only to bitch later they are overpriced for what they are.

Thanks for the congratulations and suggestions everyone! Appreciate it. It’s nice to have a new Tacoma. The other two Toyota trucks (I mentioned them here above) I’m keeping and they still run great. However, it was time to get at least a little realistic about life span.

Glad that the photos showed up okay. Like I mentioned I’m not an internet guy and don’t own computers, no internet at my ranch, etc. so I fumble around a bit with this stuff.

Given my age and how I care for things, this is probably the last vehicle I’ll ever have to buy and it felt great to pay cash and just get it done. Thanks again for all the kind words and congrats! Appreciate you fellas!

The suggestions were interesting. Thanks, but where I’m at undercarriage protection isn’t really necessary as snow and rain are an extremely rare thing where I’m at. I’ve never used that protection product that was recommended but I’ll be taking a closer look and see if it would be beneficial. Thanks for the suggestion.

What some may find interesting however is where I live a 4WD isn’t a fun toy but a necessity. Without it, certain, brief times a year I’m literally not getting back into my property. The nearest paved road is a long ways off and when moisture does hit (rare, but when it hits it HITS) the roads to get back in here are a mess for a little while. That’s part of the fun though!

Also, I’m really not one for upgrades and tricking things out. Nothing at all against it of course. I just haven’t found it necessary. That said, a tonneau cover for the bed is something I will be looking into and probably buying for this one.

I’m reluctant to bring this up because I don’t do negativity. However, if some of the anonymous (and probably jealous) kids on here don’t like the price I paid that’s cute but go tell someone that cares.

The hard reality is these trucks have a huge demand and everything in life nowadays is simply much more expensive. I certainly won’t be so called “bitching” as I’m thrilled. After a long search and then long wait I finally got my hands on another manual Tacoma and it’s debt free.

Excuse me now while my beautiful wife and I go take a drive in our glorious brand new truck! Everyone have a great day.

This was my first tacoma, and first truck with a tonneau cover. I always wanted one, but never pulled the trigger. I'm kicking myself now, waiting so long to have one. Its a lot easier to push the snow off the cover with a broom than shoveling it out of the bed, plus I have way more storage for stuff I don't need locked up in the cab, so if thinking about a tonneau cover, don't wait like I did....its worth every penny.

You cannot get Factory Installed "Options" (i.e. FIO) ha ha removed.
As for Port Installed Options (PIO), it may depend on the stage of manufacture as to if it can be removed at Dealer request.

Hmm, I have almost the exact truck. I paid 42k out the door and that included the extended warranty.

So you’re saying you got $4,500-6,000 off MSRP?

I'm not sure. I don't pay attention to MSRP, it's really a meaningless number to me. All I want to know is my OTD price and how am I going to pay for it.
