When I replaced the cvs on my sons 2000 Tundra the Napa part numbers for the extended cvs exactly matched the Trakmotives on Rockauto. The Napa ones were double the price. They have only seen installed for a couple of months so no long term review yet. They were super easy to swap out only taking about 1 hour to do both sides.

We had to go aftermarket due to Toyota being on indefinite backorder/ discontinued.

You can still send it back when you receive it, if you want to. Just select the incorrect listing info option and put clamp in the fill in field. Since it's an Amazon sale, shouldn't have any hassle. Especially if you're a prime member.

Check in with your local toyota parts counter and see what their ETA is on 04438-04021. Maybe its worth the wait, only you can decide that. Just to clarify, that kit you did order from Amazon is the correct kit.

As for the tool, I'd just follow along with @turbodb's write-up.

Before you go all in on those being OEM axles and rebooting them, you might wanna read this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-can-oem-cv-axles-be-identified.651234/#post-22643793

If you don't have OEM axles (I am 99% sure you have aftermarket CVs), there is no reason to reboot them. Just get whatever parts store axles you like (napa, auto zone, etc...) with the lifetime replacement, and just change them out when the next boots fail.
