    I have the triple pulley on mine. Picture is from the battery side of the engine bay looking down. Should I replace that on the new engine?

    Dorman is great when you need a headlight adjusting grommet for an old Chevy or something, they certainly kick ass for that kind of stuff, but otherwise? Nah. Just nah.

    Softopper, shocks
    Dorman makes a line called OE FIX. It pretty much solves poorly engineered parts for certain cars.
    IE transmission solenoids for transmissions that Subaru only sells the complete valve for.

    I probably would replace it, yeah. Unless it was recently replaced on the outgoing motor. It ultimately is a wear part.

    Not sure why I thought the 3rz had a single pulley there, my mistake

    no worries. I just don’t want to buy the wrong part and it’s weird that they show a single pulley to be right when it’s a triple one. I want to have everything ordered and on hand so when I swap the new engine in it goes smooth.

    3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
    You buy the single harmonic balance pulley...

    and then the other two bolt on to that.....one for PS....then the A/C one

    You need that single bolt to attach HB......that one you torque to like 200lbs...not reusable

    and the 4 bolts hold the two outer pulleys..

    generally the outer pulleys dont get replaced unless damaged or wobble

    ahhhh okay that makes sense! Because like red taco said the triple is for the v6 and that’s correct all the triple ones I have found say 3.4 so I’m like wtf! But that makes sense. Thank you!

    Ahh that explains the confusion. I wish the v6 used that same system. Maybe then the v6 harmonic balancer wouldn't be $500 from Toyota

    Yeah the 5vz I dont know alot about.....

    I would never buy one of those.......I would get the tundra with 4.8 over those any day

    so those ones you posted in the pictures are good to reuse? They aren’t damaged in any way.

    As long as not dinged up or bent......they just drive accessories

    Its the rubber in the HB that goes bad eventually....

    no shortage on aftermarket these.......not sure oem's is worth the extra

    all the shops sell the dorman......which means they'll honor warranty

    ordered at O'reily's and by that afternoon they had it in the store....
