Rebuilt title opinions needed

Ok I've got an opportunity to purchase a 2013 double cab prerunner TRD sport with 26k miles for $18k. It's priced low due to a rebuilt title however it wasn't in a wreck. It was a theft recovery and there was minimal cosmetic damage that has since been fixed. The truck is super sharp and is owned by a trusted friend. Does that sound like a really good deal. Bank will loan 50% of nada clean retail which is $30k so they'll loan $15k.
I've never owned a rebuilt title which is only reason I'm hesitant and asking for other opinions.

 

How long has the friend owned it and has it had any issues (since rebuilt title).

 

He's second owner. Not sure on how long he's ownef but for 9k miles. His dad repaired it so I know the extent of the "damage". All it was was catalytic converters were cut out and the backup camera was stolen. No issues. Carfax actually shows theft recovery.
