recall 05-08 2nd gens

I forgot about this thread until you bumped it.

Maybe he's more worried about if Toyota will recall for overheating issues.

Got a letter today for my 05 to be checked out and get some protective coating put on it. I live on west Virginia.

 

When I took the truck in for a service last month, the tech told me there was a recall on the frame for rust, to check it out and applying a coating.i passed on this for now, and asked about replacing the foggy headlights, to no avail, being a tsb, and out of warranty, blah.
So, yes, in Canada they are recalling frames, and they did buy back the toasted gen 1's.
Personally, my 08 frame is ok, they don't use a ton of salt up here, more rock, than anything, it's too cold for the melt.
