Just got a letter in the mail today from Toyota to bring in my truck, so they can replace the HVAC blower motor. Has anyone else received this letter?

What does the letter state as far as why it's specifically being recalled?

Got one as well, there are a lotta people on the forum who have had to replace them. Makes sense they recalled them.

Hmm, I wonder if I'm covered. I replaced mine last year by hunting down the part on my own, since no dealership had one and had no ETA on getting one.

If you fixed it on your own and you get a letter there is information, in the letter, on what you need to do to get a reimbursement.

Not holding out much hope. I tried a re-imbursement for a battery and still haven't seen anything.

I received a letter yesterday. I guess I'll get it replaced at 30K service check. Sounds like if you produce a receipt for an OEM motor and/or service, you could file a claim for reimbursement. I have not noticed any problems, but with winter coming the HVAC fan will be on most of the time. TBH, it is already on most of the time.

I would call them today and schedule because they are all backordered with no eta on when they show up. Better to get in line then wait to get in line.

I agree with @smith.p.sean and make sure they know about ordering the part. I made an appointment and told them what it was about. When I got there for my appointment I was told they needed to order the part.

Because of TW and providing this same info a few threads ago, I was able to tell my rep to put one aside for me which they either did or ordered one and told me there was one there for me now when I go in, in a few weeks.

Has anyone been able to get the dealer to order a motor and let you take it home for DIY install?

Just noticed my blower making some interesting noises today. No letters in the mail as of yet for me.

I had a vibration in the pedals when the fan blower was on.. got the recall letter in the mail, had it done a couple of days later, resolved the vibration issue.

Don't wait for it, I never got one. I've had two replaced. Check my post for parts info.
