1st gen ball joints are awful, they give no warning and fail randomly.

I’ve started to call them based on age and mileage now. I won’t let any get past me without recommending a set.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I gotta wonder did Toyota use several different vendors in the course of a production year .

Some last hundreds of thousands of miles . Others fail without warning no matter how the truck was used.

I replaced a friends at 125,000 miles they were still tight just very strange.
