didnt fail me on my 06.....saved my tire....sucks to see this but a perfect opportunity for alot of people to get new tires

It's funny that the main highlight in the story is that Toyota TPMS might fail to alert a driver to a flat tire, but in the second paragraph it talks about

can we say biased?

 

Lucky I don't have TPMS

 

So, I logged on to the Toyota Owners site (which has my VIN registered and all), and it told me there were no outstanding safety bulletins for my truck. Does anyone know for sure if this means that my particular truck isn't one of the models, or does this just mean that Toyota hasn't formally let owners know yet? I have a couple of other things I'd like the dealership to take a look at, so it might be a good time to get those looked at while I'm in.

 

I guess if you're running different wheels and tires, you might not have the guts of tpms...hmm. Wonder what they'll do about that?
