We keep forgetting not everyone lives and breathes Tacoma`s

Every week I hear someone buying a Tacoma no idea of the frame issues

With the buybacks of the early trucks and the Frame Replacements Toyota went beyond the call of duty the way I look at things

Google Toyota of North America’s customer service number and call them. Once a part has been recalled and it fails again the Manufacturers will replace them again. To frightened of more lawsuits.

Again it was not a Recall it was an extended warranty .

A recall means every vehicle within certain Vin`s gets the new part .

You also had to have the truck titled within certain states and it had to have been inspected and undercoated by 2011 the date slips my mind

all in all, its just turned into one big mess

i do have a quandary though from a few things i have heard on the side of TW

the 4Runners of the same general years as the 1st gens had their frames made/built in Japan and were not quite as susceptible to road chemicals as Tacoma frame seem to be that were not made in Japan
i don't know if there is truth to that or not, just something i have heard!

I’ve been wondering about the new frames they’re putting in the 1st and 2nd Gens under recall.

Anyone know if it’s an upgraded frame or just the same as the old frame that rusted out?

The 4 Runners were built in Japan !!

Then I have seen some every bit as bad or worse depending in how they were treated and where they lived.

Built be a new Company the old was is gone !!

When they started being made questions were raised about how long they would last .

Something is strange about the whole thing in most manufacturing the company who has the name on the product specs the steel.

Hauling Coils from Bethlehem Steel Burns Harbor Mi to Dana in Reading Pa each coil had a spec sheet so if the steel was bad it goes back to the mill that made the steel.

I have never heard who made the Steel Dana Corp made into Frames
