Recalls

My daughter recently purchased a 2013 Tacoma that is in EXCELLENT condition inside and out. It’s the only vehicle that she has ever had, except for junky hand-me-downs. I have a 2011 RAV 4 that is in excellent condition - I purchased it new. I suggested that she might check out the recalls. How would she know if the recalls had already been taken care of, on her used truck? How long does Toyota honor recalls?

 

go to toyota.com and create an account. It'll have you put in the Vin of your vehicle and it'll have all the Toyota service stuff on there.

Here's an example from my first service on up. Anything done at Toyota should be on there.

 

At the top, it should show if there are any open recalls. Mine shows No Recall.
