Wow, I wish that's all I had done! I was going between 55 and 60kph (around 37mph). It was a smaller deer too. This was in the city. The AC condenser and rad were pushed right back into the engine.

^^^ ouch. yeah, i messed up my truck soon after getting it too. bent the tailgate pretty bad within a month of owning it, got a new one now though. YAY for tailgate TSB! Hopefully my bumper would save me from most of the damage that you guys are posting up since i too live in deer country. I actually had one run off a bank, run into the side of my truck (my last truck) and the run back up the bank. scared the hell outta me when i heard the loud 'whoomp' as i was cruisin at 50 on a frontage road. didnt even dent it though!

It was as sad as I was :(

My passenger seat - That's my hard helmet. It sits in a holder that hooks over the top of the seat. Looks like a ghostly person in the pic.

I wouldn't wish an accident however minor on my worst enemy. It hurts to see in nice rides involved in a smash up because some fool did something stupid and then blame the devil for it. :D

Falling a sleep at the wheel is deadly. Drivers must get a coffee or pull over and have a power nap before they kill innocent people.

yeah, back in the day my dad fell asleep on the way to his house and was awakened by a 'BAM' as he hit the curb, then saw a power pole straight in front and just yanked the wheel back left toward the road- took out a chunk of the powerpole and messed up the car but he was fine. funny thing is, the pole's still been there for years and years after the accident and they havent replaced it!

As far as Taco wrecks go I think this one might take the cake so far. On Thursday night some idiot decided he needed to take a 90-degree right hand turn perpendicular to the flow of traffic on a 6-lane highway from 3 lanes over to attempt to make an exit. Came out of nowhere and I t-boned him at 65mph. No swerving, no braking, bed loaded, and trailer in tow. If you're familiar with driving in TX you know that f%^&$'s that don't speak English and don't have insurance seem to attract wrecks...

Neither myself nor my passenger got so much as a scratch. I shit you not. I was already in love with the Taco before this. Now I'd have a hard time considering any other model of truck. This thing was nothing short of amazing from a crash safety standpoint. Seat belts held us so well we didn't even hit the airbags. I'm still a tad sore but not even a scratch or bruise.
