Yes, I'm not sneezing at 28 mpg. I believe right around 30 mpg is going to be the combined number for the Colorado. It's the combined number that matters to me. After all, I don't only use my vehicles for highway cruising. Got to slow down when I get where I'm going :D.

30 mpg will cover that $3-5K markup in 3-5 years of ownership, which is about right. If it doesn't perform like the gas job though around town no thank you.

Going back the WT thing I'm not sure what GM will do there. Originally you could only get the Ecodiesel in Canada on Outsdoorman and above trim levels, but then I learned a few months later that they had added it to the lower model trucks. Maybe if sales are slow GM will do the same.

I still can't believe they are making a Denali Canyon. No way that thing is under $50K. Denali is now more a brand then actual value.

I can't wait till the end of this year when GM calls themselves the truck company because they've added all of there sales up on all of the companies trucks and they make the most, even though they are losing in each category to another manufacturer. Typical GM. They also make fun of Ford for using adhesives to hold the Aluminum panels on when GM has been using Steel on Steel adhesives for years . Same with the high strength comments, "Aluminum where it doesn't count and steel where it matters." So the Aluminum in your engine is a non critical part but the door panels are super important? GM is a JOKE. I hope they get sued eventually for this retarded advertising with zero substance.

Both my work and my house are only a couple lights in from the interstate, the commute is where I'll see the fuel savings. That and traveling in Idaho, majority of the roads I use are country 2-Lanes with speed limit either 55-65. Over 30 mpg will be easy for me.

The new truck I would keep it at least 10 years, I can recoup the money back.

Yeah, yet to be seen...not holding my breath, though most of the new GM's I have seen on the road have been fleet vehicles...so it might be a maybe, fleet sales could see savings in fuel cost...that and most fleet trucks are diesel anyways.

Gaaad that whole aluminum vs. steel ad campaign is ridiculous...I feel embarrassed for them. We had a dump with an aluminum body, you could beat the hell of that thing...GM are just being a bunch of twats.

If Ford really wanted to smash their competitors they would offer a small diesel in the F-150, was hoping the 2.7 ecoboost was going to get great fuel economy, showing that it isn't the case...I don't really want a fullsize, however if a F-150 that got 30 mpg...I am in. Think about it, you can configure it with a 3000 lbs payload...and stellar mileage...they would crush everyone else.

I won't get a diesel because it's a diesel and it's got a turbo. Nothing but problems with both of those.

I wouldn't kick an '86 Buick GNX out of my garage for having a turbo.

    Just sayin'.
