Lately when I fill up the tank the pump clicks about 5 seconds in and a little bit of gas ends up spilling out. After cleaning up the mess, I could resume pumping gas and it would not click again until it was full. But the last time I filled up, the gas pump clicked 5 times during fill-up, so it seems to be getting worse.

I don't really know why it has started doing this out of the blue, is there a fix for it? It sounds like air is having trouble escaping.

You are not using the same gas pump all the time, right?

There's an anti-siphoning screen in the filler neck. Maybe it's clogged?

Sounds like the tube to your tank isn't breathing well during fill up to me...

Yeah.. I just don't really know if there is a breather that's clogged or something
