Lot of folks read this forum and find problems for their truck to have. Agreed. Plenty more like me find out about this forum because they googled a problem their truck was having. This forum helps those because we can share info. Not everyone is paranoid.

^^ An imbecile statement with zero comprehension reading skill, get help fast.
But for the benefit of others that do have comprehensive reading skills, and concerns about their vehicle, I’ll elaborate further.
I already stated I know ATF is properly filled.
A software ck is all that’s needed at the stealership, but all I really need is the PID sheet stating they had the opportunity to check it because the warranty states they are responsible for all fluid levels, and my vehicle won’t see the stealership for anything unless something serious and expensive turns up defective in manufacture, and so far at 10k, it hasn’t happen and odds are greatly in my favor it won’t.
And last thing I want is to give a moron or rookie a chance to introduce contaminants into it, by opening up my transmission without a justifiable reason.

Reading a post on a forum by someone who doesn’t even own a 3rd gen, does not work for Toyota, is not a certified Toyota tech, or is authorized by Toyota to make any sort of statement that my transmission is low on ATF is NOT a valid reason.

But it’s your truck do as you will, as you will have to live with the consequences, not me.
My truck is yet to see the stealership for any service or issues and works great once I let the adoptive learning phase to complete on its own without adding ATF, or letting anyone mess with it.
The less hands that fiddle under or over my very complex and expensive components, the less the chance there is of screwing up my favorite toy.

And things are working out great for me so far.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!
