Recently lifted and popping CVs

Do yall think I should take off the 5100s set at 2.5" to go get this fixed? I'm afraid they will try to blame the problem on the lift. Thats just the kinda bs my dealership pulls though.

Update. Noise is still there. The inner tie rod boot on the drivers side has an oily substance on the bottom of it. I guess I'll have to take care of that pretty soon now. Any ideas on what it might cost?

it might not be the cv axles.. i just lifted my truck last week and now im noticing a popping noise turning as well.. i looked at it and it seems to be the upper ball joint.. im running the camburg 4"spindle and a fox co set at .9" and ive got a prerunner so check it out... im still running the stock uca but i just ordered the camburg 1.25" with uniballs and that should get rid of the popping.

oh and i also feel the pop through my steering wheel. running aftermarket uca's is very smart when people crank up co's

 

Funny that you think the problem shouldn't be blamed on your lift. Any mechanic who gets under there is going to be able to see that you've done some wrenching down there.
