I like the satoshi grill better. That is what I have been planning to do on my truck.

 

...now you just need to black out those headlights!

 

It wasn't very difficult at all to mount the lights. I however did not wire them. I gave a friend 20 bucks and he set it up. He came through the firewall with the wiring and currently I'm using the crappy switch that comes with the Hella 500s in one of the blank spots on the dash.

 

The holes are 1/8th of an inch.

Oxy have you made a grill for the lower portion on the truck? I think I want to try and do that next when I get some time.

 

Ya I agree with you on that, I wish I would've done that in the first place instead of clearing them out.

Now it makes me want to get rid of the chrome rims I have and buy some black ones when I get some money.

 

Thanks for the compliments everyone...I think I'll just keep the old one in storage just in case I get the urge to switch it back up for a little while.

 

Honestly, I haven't yet, but I haven't done much driving since I installed it so I'll keep an eye on that this week.

I wanted a little bigger hole, like the 1/4'', but wasn't able to find anyone with it in stock. Does the 1/4" match the hole size in the hood scoop?

Have you installed any in the side triangular pieces? I have them cut out but I'm still debating what the best way of attaching them would be.

Ya I don't like using the stuff on the truck either so I'm going to try and find one to buy.

They booth look good I personally like the chrome. But there ain't a damn thing wrong with the recessed/lights.

 

I did use the headless bolt method. I used JB Weld for them and then I came back and laid fiberglass over them after they had gotten a chance to set. I used a total of 3 on the top, 3 on the bottom, and 1 on the sides. This worked well but I also added a zip tie on each of the sides and then 2 on the bottom to make sure it was flush everywhere you could see. I think I had to add the additional zip ties because with the preforated mesh it wanted to bow out in certain spots on the bottom, hence the reason I added 2 zip ties down there. The top for some reason was fine and didn't need them.

Keep the new setup. Looks great. The lights almost look off center. May be the camera perspective.

This has given me a new idea. Order a color matched Grey grill and paint it matte black and do the black grillcraft then have the hella black magic behind it. Hmmmm. Donations?
