I'm located in san jose and looking for an alignment shop that can set alignment specs using both the factory LCA bolts and also aftermarket UCA, in this case, SPC. I just did a Bilstein 5100 upgrade with 885x coils up front and Medium Dakar leafs in the rear. For the SPC UCA, i installed it on setting D for +2.0* . Is there a shop around here that will be able to do this? I don't want to end up going somewhere and not have them adjust anything up top and just do the bottom.

I'm aiming for close to OE spec for that lift so what I want to achieve is:

    camber - 0*
    toe - 0*
    caster 2.5* - 3.0*

Additionally, if i'm looking at achieving 2.5* - 3.0*, should I be setting the caster position on the UCA to setting "C" for a +3.0* ?

I am about to schedule an appointment and my conditions are similar to yours.

From what I've gathered, the way do the alignment is to have the SPC bj at "D" in the outmost position. And then dial caster with the lower alignment cam.

Check out Elite Performance in Burlingame. Melody does the alignments and specify that you have adjustable UCAs (SPC). I had this conversation with her 4 weeks ago.

Wheel Works on prospect road did mine to those settings (0 0 3). The lady working the front desk gave pushback but the manager said it was fine.

thanks @SUMOTNK and @Michaelo for the leads. I will be sure to give them a call and explain the situation. when you say outmost position, this is on that huge 32mm adjustable but right? and by sliding outmost, would that mean towards the outside of the car, because that would give a ton of positive camber no like \ / i think if you slide it towards the car then that would give you more negative / \ camber. I'm aiming for no camber so I slid the 32mm nut right in the middle. not sure if thats right or not, but its not too bad on the car. i definitely need an alignment bad though. Wheel Works in prospect is closer to me than san jose so ill likely try them first with a call

@Michaelo how did you set up your UCA prior to handing it off for alignment? Where was your 32mm nut in approximation.

Also, i used to take my prior cars (s2k, sti) to Auto Innovations in miliptas, but wasn't sure if they did lifted trucks but wouldn't hurt to ask them if they can mess with the SPC UCA.

Here are what mine looks like:

Orlando at AI is strongly recommended here too. He knows what he's doing.

You do not want all your positive caster coming from the top. I have close to 4* of caster and set the top to +2, and then the rest is achieved with the LCA cam bolts. Maybe if I were going with only 3* of caster I would set my ucas to 1 or 1.5*.

I set it on "d" and the nut was about where yours is. They actually moved the adjuster to "c" without me telling them anything about the spc uca when they did mine. My LCA bushings were shot at the time though so that's most likely why.

I can't find the sheet but here's an invoice if they give you crap.

Thats pretty awesome that they were able to align you even when your LCA cam bolts were seized, i feel like mine maybe as well and they might turn me away at most alignment shops and only return when I go through the hell process of getting that thing out. I did speak to Orlando at AI this morning and he knew what I was talking about with the SPC and told me to bring it by and discuss what I wanted to do there.

Yep, I used to head across the bridge to Custom Aligment in Mountain View. Great outfit and super cool owner but Orlando over at Auto Innovations in Milpitas is now my go-to shop for alignments. They both know what they are doing but Orlando comes in cheaper and will totally go that extra mile to explain and answer any questions.

    for AI

Just got back from Auto Innovations and Orlando was able to set me up. In case anybody else needs another reco for them, here it is. Just a bunch of great guys that know what they're doing and take care of your car like it was their own. My tire spec is actually 265/75/16 so ignore what it says at the top. This was with the SPC upper BJ at the "D" position and the camber slider in the middle.
