Everyone has moved to e-mailing bids and such, a decade ago they had one person (usually the fleet guy/ gal) reading/ answering these. Now most dealers have a dedicated "Internet department" with 20 salesmen working this title.

Point is, sometimes to get what you want in this day in age you've got to be different. Going in or down to the lot, is the new different. Show them cash and stick to your guns, until they chase you out to the parking lot with your offer.

It sucks to work it the old school way, but I got the price I wanted for my '14, Off-Road like this.
