Not from Texas, never rebuilt a carb but here's my advise. A new Weber 32/36 is $254 and will greatly improve how your truck will run and may give it a little more power. Thats what I did on my 82' and probably the best money i've spent on the truck.

I actually know of this carb and the only reason I decided to rebuild is because Ive read it was best to keep it original and the power gains went significant. (Info from pirate4x4)

But if rebuild is super expensive then ill just go with the weber.
