Got some new rims coming. 17 x 8.5. So I have to get some new tires.

Stock ride height, will level the truck soon though.

Was looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers. Thoughts?

    Some for highway and dirt.

265/70/17 is the biggest tire you can put on stock.

Never heard anything good about Nittos.

    K02s
    Duratracts
    StMaxxs
    AT3s

Are the most popular here it seems.

    ^agreed.
Wanted to get st maxxs but just couldn't justify the price. I really like my AT3 in C rating. Balance well, good traction and deep tread.
For looks KO2 or the maxxs

I think Maxxs would be the best ideal all terrain tire for me but holy cannoli how does someone swallow that price? For $50 bucks cheaper PER TIRE I could get STPros. Backwards logic imo.

    A thing or two...
I would strongly suggest avoiding the Nitto Terra Grapplers if you live where it rains a lot. I've got them on my truck and wet traction sucks. Nearly wiped out a couple of weeks ago going around a sweeping 90 degree turn. Tires just let go and I slid into the next lane. Luckily the road was 3 lanes wide, and I was in the inside lane.

I had Michelin AT before these, and I didn't have any issues with them.

These tires should last for a good 6-8 years. If you look at this way spending $950 for tires that will last for 7 years isn't a big cost.

I drive across country a lot and offroad a good amount so I doubt I'd get 7 years on any tire. Sucks but that's the sad truth.

Yeh depends on the driver and how they drive. So not everyone will get 6 years out it.

Seems the Nittos arent recommended. Im glad I asked. They do look good though.

Lots of choices. The Maxxis sound good, but IDK about almost $250 a tire. Its ridiculous how much tires cost now. You know they have a huge markup. Theyre more than the rims!

Toyo AT2s are reasonably priced and have pretty decent on road manners. I ran them on my 03 before i upgraded, and they were great.

I've currently got cooper Discoverer AT3s in 265/70/17 and they've been wearing well, though, in all honesty they haven't seen much dirt since I've had this truck.

I'm currently rolling on 265/70/17 Hancook Dynapro atm. I paid $125 per tire and the grip is amazing. A little more road noise than the out going tires I had, Goodyear adventure Kevlar, but that tire was a joke of an AT, more all season. No grip anywhere but pavement.
