It's confusing to me on what to buy for on for a modest lift. Something for a future larger tire.. Good bolt on and good quality say a 2 inch lift. THANKS..

Budget and driving conditions matter as well.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
2” lift followed by tacomaworld does the trick. From 100 bucks to 10k ranges

Those are spacer lifts. Recommend staying away from those. Look into 5100's. Best bang for your buck and upgrade. Spacers, is considered down grade.

I would say budget is the defining factor here. Lifts aren't priced by the inch. You could put some hockey-puck spacers in the front and blocks in the rear for a few hundred bucks and get your 1.5 inches or so. That's kinda crap but really, if you're just looking to make the truck look a little cooler, that's the cheapest bang for the buck. Next step up would be to swap out the struts in the front and go with an AAL in the rear... That will be a triple-digit price tag, I think. You can spend as much as you want to spend, so your budget is gonna be the deciding factor.

I think if you ask "I have $1500, what's the best 2" lift I can get" you'll get better answers

Lift doesn't add tire clearance. Or ground clearance at the lowest point, the axle lines.

Don't buy the hype that big tires and a lift are required to off road successfully.

What's required is better than stock tires and a good driver. Otherwise the truck is very capable.

How big are you going with the tires? You can fit up to 32inch on stock almost no rub or you can fit 33 skinny on stock. The cheapest i would go would be bilstein 5100 for front and rear shock. You can set the front to 2 inch lift and buy a 1 inch block for the rear or get add aleaf your choice. If you want to spend alittle more than get fox 2.0 or blistein 6112/5160.
