Ive been using a bluetooth OBDII adaptor for android phones with OBD Fusion software. I bought the paid version and extended 2020 toyota diagnostics. So far I've only used it to clear codes on the tacoma when I got a counterfeit Stant locking gas cap. I used it a good bit on my old Jeep Liberty CRD. It was also helpful when My Partners Wrangler wasn't passing emissions because the self tests were not run. the diagnostics report actually will let you know if you're ready to test per state standards with what test have and haven't run. So far I'm happy with it.
