Lol... and this thread has now turned into another version of the people linking to the one above... oh well.

Yes, SV4's are just branded versions of the same thing you can buy directly from China called the "F4". They're a fraction of the price as well. After reading the infamous link above, I didn't want to drop the price HR sells them for. So I went straight to China. Compared to my stock Halogens, they are brighter and I can see farther. They don't blind people as the stock cut-offs are just fine. I mentioned in that that thread above that I passed by an oncoming cop on a dark road and he drove right past me. After mentioning this in the thread above, I was attacked by the rabid followers of that thread. I'll say it again, I'm sure there's a better Hallogen bulb than the SV4 (or equivalent) but if you're trying to get better performance compared to stock while getting a whiter light, I've been very happy with my SV4/F4 bulbs. And now... I'm sure on of the followers will tear me to shreds. Lol. Honestly, for how cheap the Chinese versions are, it's worth buying and judging for yourself. If you don't like them, someone here will buy them off of you. If you do like them, then ignore all the opinions and science and enjoy life... that's what I did.

You seem a little defensive. It's your vehicle, buy what you want and what makes you happy. Folks pointing you to the link are doing so probably because the OP has exhaustively used science and scientific method to document the comparison and result. Bottom line, it's your truck, outfit it how you want.

Agreed. And not being defensive. The folks in that thread are not friendly at all and tore into me plenty for a few of my opinions. One of the most hostile threads in this forum that I've participated in and viewed.

Fair enough, I didn't read through every comment. I hope it works out for you.

Thanks for the understanding. The SV4/F4's have been great! I've had them installed for months and I can't complain (and neither have others on the road?).
