    Hey dudettes and duders,

Any pleasant experiences / recommendations for shops around San Diego to regear my 3rd gen?

Looking for a reputable shop that will leave me worry free.

If not, I'll just order assembled 3rds from ECGS like last time. Worked out great just extra shipping hassle. Plus if I can support local, I will.

    Thanks!

100% go to MIT Drivetrain Specialists in El Cajon. They put a South Bend clutch in my Ram 2500 and did an awesome job. All things drivetrain. Alot of 4x4 work done there too. In fact I thought about driving back there from Phoenix if I re-gear my Tacoma too.

Pro Gear in Kearny Mesa. They did my Tundra to 4.88s. I'm coming back in a few months to go to 5.29s. I'll note that they do take their time when working on your truck (ie. expect 3-4 days of leaving it at their shop at most) because they do everything right when installing, which includes doing thorough testing to make sure the lashing is correct. I've had no problem with the job they did on my truck. They also did my ARB air locker for the rear.
