    Stock for now.. maybe
You can find them all the time on ebay just search for coleman oven. Prices vary anywhere from 35 to 100 bucks. Make sure it comes with the rack. I think girlfriend got hers at a yard sale. It wasn't brand new but works fine. Its actually a very simple design. I could easily see it lasting another 40 years. They also look pretty cool... kind of takes you back in time a bit. I think its totally worth 50 bucks or more. We love using it, sometimes I don't even bring my cast iron

I'm a minimalist and try to keep cargo weights down. I used to love the Coleman stoves. I recently tried out the Jetboil Genesis, and I am impressed. It burns hotter than any of my Colemans. However, I want to get away from twin stoves that are too close together, so I'll probably go with the Jetboil Halfgen.

I recently got a one burner Coleman propane stove and I am happy enough with it. It would be nicer if there was more subtlety with the temperature, but it's not bad. I think user error played into some of the burnt cornbread this week.

I know you're interested in propane, but we love our Coleman single burner butane stove. It behaves very well at lower cooking temperatures (ie simmer or warming). We don't use it to boil water - we take a Jetboil for that purpose.

There are some new companies making nice cast iron you just gotta pay significantly more than what you would for a Lodge. ie Field, Smithey, Butterpat. But yeah if you can find and clean up a beat up old Wagner or Griswold found for cheap that’s the best score!

fun fact about the classic coleman stove and their lanterns -- the manufacturing month and year is on the bottom. This burner my dad handed to me recently was manufactured in november 1975. It basically got lost in the attic and I've revived it. I replaced the pressure pumps but that's it. Took some time and cleaned it up 2 months back and it looks brand new. The lantern I use was manufactured in october 1975 and still works great.

I have an Coleman dual fuel lantern from the mid 80’s. It’s unreal how bright they get! They burn like a high beam headlight.

Bought a 22” 2 burner stove this year. Been great so far and is MUCH easier to take apart and clean than the old Coleman.

Yea, the Halfgen is what I use. You can link another one to it if you want or run it solo, which is what I do. I don't do instagram worthy meals when I'm camping, nor do I cook for more than me and my gf. If I was I might consider a larger cooking surface. But it's been plenty for the past few years.

I have the 22” as well. Yup cleaning is a breeze. I wipe it down after each use and then after the end of the trip I just take it apart and hose it off with some soap.

Agreed. flashlights and led lanterns are great for ease of use -- when they're charged, but I always seem to fall back to the lantern.

    Stock for now.. maybe
I've gone full solar inflatable lanterns now. They work great for my needs and last quite awhile

    Check them out at mpowered.com

I'm still running older coleman stoves or just cooking on cast iron over a fire

I'm not affiliated but they usually have buy one get one free deals during holidays and other sale times
Some of their profit also goes to people that need some kind of light source help in other countries
