    Tacoma World Group,
Just purchased a 2020 Tacoma Sport v6, has 39K miles. Noticed clicking noise during idle, maybe the high pressure fuel pump and a little rough idle when warmed. Anyone have this resolved by doing a upper induction service on this direct injection system?

Dirty throttle body will cause rough idle, I would start there.

“Clicking” noise during idle could be DI cleaning cycle. You could always take a video and post here.

I would go test drive some others, for a look and listen. These are noisy little engines.

Yes, noisy little engines they are. Mine doesn’t idle all that smooth when fully warmed up but then again it’s barely at 600rpm (auto trans in gear) so it’s nature of the beast. Cleaning the throttle plate isn’t a bad idea (as suggested by @Junkhead) but remember this D4s system is designed to keep the backside of the intake valves clean.

D4s plus top tier gasoline with high levels of detergents and a quality synthetic oil should keep those intake valves clean for a million miles
