I'm about a week away from starting the suspension upgrade to my 2018 CCLB OR. I have purchased the new model 6112's, 5160's with an Icon AAL, JBA UCAs, 285/70/17s with 0 offset, and the ECGS bushing. I currently have a steel tube front bumper/winch (not sure how much that drops the front, think not much) and will be installing an Alu-Cab canopy with Roofnest RTT. I will periodically throw 2 dirt bikes on a hitch carrier - so a decent load on the back. I'm expecting ~1.5" in the rear with the AAL (unloaded). My main question or guidance I'm looking for are opinions on the settings for the front 6112's - I need to keep some rake in prep for the load bearing items on the rear, and I don't want to have to take the shock/springs out to have them re-adjusted. Should I go with 10/8, or 9/7 as a starting point? I know this is a guesstimate - just looking for some experienced users opinions...any help is appreciated.

Honestly, I’d consider upgrading the rear leafs altogether. Just the Alu-Cab and RoofNest alone will be pushing it, add the bikes and carrier, she’s going to be sitting low in rear
*edit* maybe f they’re small like pit bikes you could get away with it.

It will be 2 dirt bikes on the back at almost 500lbs.

Would the Icon RXT leaf pack for ~$600 be a good alternative to the AAL kit?

Figure out the weight of the bikes, alu-cab, and tent altogether and plan your rear leaf springs for that. Zero offset is good for the wheels. You still want to set your front height first and clear the tires, then choose the rear based on weight and lift height to get the amount of rake you want.

Thanks for the input - my numbers show less than 300lbs for the canopy/RTT combo, and about 550lbs for the dirt bikes and rack. I believe I'll get the Icon RXT packs and go with stage 3 accordingly based on your suggestions. Icon's site shows that the stage 3 adds 2.625" unloaded, and 1.125" loaded with 600lbs (I'll have over 800 with bikes). I'll need to see if the 10/8 setting will clear the wheel/tire combo. It looks like I could also go 11/9 up front for the full 2" and still have some rake with just the canopy and RTT, and possibly a little squat with dirt bikes.

My two cents in this conversation.
I would recommend a top hat spacer of 1/4” on driver’s side and not doing the settings at different heights. The different heights change pre load of the shocks and can cause unbalanced control at higher speeds on dirt roads. (Similar to the control loss due to the rear shocks being mounted on different sides of the axle.)

That being said they are really great shocks love mine. Going to be bumping them up to 5th notch soon (currently on 3 with the older style) and I’m installing the icon rtx at stage three as a used pair in a few weeks.

I fell and did icon aal at first and now I’m sitting about 1” lower than stock with no weight. And my front has settled to around 1.25” over stock.

I’m not going to be installing extended break lines as of currently but I will eventually. A bump stop is required on stage three or you can bottom out the 5160’s.

I didn't want to add to any confusion with settings on the 6112's, but I would recommend the same.
I set both sides to the 10-notch and added a 1/4 inch spacer above the driver's side.

Excellent. Thank you both very much for the recommendations. Looks like I'll be trying to return my Icon AALs for the RXT leaf pack.

What brand 1/4 spacer did you use?

Headstrong off-road for the top hat spacer.

I forgot the brand, but I went with the plastic/urethane one on 4wheelparts.com
